Scriptural Reasoning, with Brandon Gallacher, Lecturer of Systematic and Comparative Theology, University of Exeter
Scriptural Reasoning is the practice in inter-religious encounter where members of different religious traditions read a selection of texts from different traditions together. They discuss the content of the text from their different religious traditions. The aim is to learn about the practices and beliefs of the religious other and deepen one’s own understanding. Scriptural reasoning is a rich pedagogical resource for RE. The talk of Dr Gallaher will draw from his experience of Scriptural Reasoning in a Muslim-Christian context and how he adapted these resources for the classroom.
